Def Satan was proto speed metal. Very fast compared to their peers. Not a must have for me from that period but a band ahead of their time.

Pyromania is a cool album, not as great as HIgh n Dry though.

Yeah, High & Dry kicks ass -- by far their best album.  Pyromania is about half really good and half kinda just okay, and it definitely points to the pop-metal crap that would come.  It's the last Def Leppard album that really matters.

I despise Def Leppard based on only knowing their radio tunes, so it should be interesting at least.

Agree. I like Hysteria OK also, after that, all crap. I actually saw them with Firehouse ages ago, decent show.

Ok, fuck Def Leppard. I've decided it's more hard rock than metal and if I did Def Leppard I'd feel like I have to do, AC-DC, Accept, Krokus etc.

Maybe you do need to do all of those albums so you can understand the difference between Accept and those other bands you mentioned. If Accept isn't Heavy Metal then nothing is. Come on dude! :)

Witchfynde released an album in 83 also. They'll pop up eventually.

I'm digging this Satan album. I definitely need to get a copy. And I've not listened to OZ before either. Now I guess I ought to.
