Bullshit. This is garbage. Who the fuck desires this that someone would go out and create it? Whoever you are, fuck you. Now. Hard. With glass shards and sandpaper. Don't die. Live and suffer. Shit in a bag through your lower abdomen.

Well, now that we have that out of the way...

This is happy black metal for happy black metal people. It's probably fast, although you would have to get a hold of the drummer and ask him to be certain. You can't hear him in the record. He is an idea, a myth. Lets call him the theory of percussion. Same with the bass. And the guitars lack any heft or style. This is about as heavy as an Eiderdown butt pillow. Pathetic. What you can hear are the vocals and the fisher price keyboards. But you don't want to hear them. They are only annoying you. You want to throttle them. You want to become a fundamentalist Christian just to spite them. Maybe that's the real plan, to annoy people back to church. I bet these guys are closet Pentecostals. Well, Lutherans.

Even more sickening is that the songs could have been interesting. The compositions don't sound too bad, and there are some interesting ideas at work here. Occasional supposed tempo changes, the odd atmospheric passage... Not groundbreaking or inspiring, but certainly worth some attention. But the production renders the whole thing unlistenable. It sounds childish, insipid and downright idiotic. It sounds like the soundtrack to an old commodore 64 Dungeons and Dragons game gone horribly inane.

And I know that's what they were after. To be so underground that only Satan can hear them. Mission accomplished. I doubt he is happy about it, though.

I guess I could go on a bit about musicianship, but why would anyone who wants to listen to music like this care? They are proficient enough to play black metal. Take it for what it's worth.

Bottom Line: If you can stomach the worst of badly produced black metal, there is probably a wealth of simplistically evil songs here for you. The strength is the composition, certainly. But for heavy metal fans that strength is undercome by so much weakness in production that I can see no point in bothering with it. I don't want to put off any TRV GRYM TROLS out there. From my limited experience with this format, these guys are probably among the "better" groups I have heard. But I can't stand this shit. It's like listening to semi-melodic enemas. I am going to lose this disc ASAP.
