A generally average black metal release, this sounds a bit like Immortal's demo tracks. It's badly recorded, dull, amateurish and a general chore to listen to. Which means some folks will eat it right up. More power to you. The music tends to plod along at a medium pace, with a few melodic leads by untuned guitarists and a ton of predictable black metal cliché. The songs themselves range from tedious to inoffensively catchy. They all drone on too long, but not quite long enough to piss me off. Next time, maybe.

The recording is saturated and dronetastically average; squelchy and, again, tedious. The guitars are nice and loud, though. And mercifully the vocals are washed into pointlessness. The musicianship is slightly below par.

Bottom line: If you are the kind of person who would sell your soul to be seen as someone who would sell your soul, here is a black metal CD for you. If you are an average metalhead looking for something decent and evil to pass the time, you can do better.
