A take on precision melodic death metal, this four song collection is short on content but long on fire. With a heaping of melody to accompany the rhythmic power, this is a band with great potential, only limited by its occasional similarity to other acts - at one point they lift a Slayer riff almost verbatim - and a somewhat schizophrenic approach.

The band delivers the music with a confidence and fire that helps it rise above the fact that sometimes it's all a little too familiar. It's always a problem for new bands when you spend as much time trying to decide where you heard that riff or break before, instead of simply letting the music speak for itself. And that is what happens here too often. Meshuggah, Carnal Forge, even Devolved come screaming into my head at various points in this demo, and that's a problem. But the band has the chops to tackle this style, and you can hear the creativity that could propel them to great places peering through it all.

As far as production quality, this is a an EXCELLENT listen. A good, well balanced mix, a fiery performance and heavy recording make this aspect above par and worth attention. If nothing else the band knows how to use a studio.
Bottom line: based on this demo I can't see why some record company wouldn't want to take a chance on this group. They are very solid performers and musicians, they are tight and interesting as a band and, with a little time and space, could make some very good metal. Check out their website, take a listen and see for yourself.
