The Shed

So the band’s name is Bile and the intro sample that opens up The Shed is one of the longer songs on the album. Is this review even necessary? Unless you’ve never heard a single brutal death/grind act before, you’ll not find much of worth to reap from this monstrously rehashed blast fest.

Sure, it’s plenty heavy enough. Bile tunes their guitars pretty low. Their drummer plays pretty damn fast. The songs are very short and have little or no concern for structure or melody. The vocalist’s heavily-filtered gurgle matches the degenerate sewer monster level of musical sophistication found in Bile’s instrumentation. There’s nearly as much sample time as there is music time. None of it is even remotely innovative or memorable. This band has been out-written, out-heavied, and out-played by nearly all of their peers.

Oh, and did I mention that they do a mid-tempo chugging track? It really provides some incredible contrast to all of the fast blastbeaten tracks. They should patent that one. What'll they do next, alternate between low growls and high screams?

Skip this and buy a Devourment album or something.
