Bear in mind I am no fan of black metal. But I have given my share of good reviews to black metal bands in the past. Do a search. But this? "True" black metal? No. No fucking way. You want to listen to this? You do it. You give these people your money, you listen to this, you get the points for being so underground only moles and worms will have sex with you. Fine. Not me.

Musicianship? The drumming is funny. Really. It's hilarious. It sounds like my greyhound's toenails scrabbling on my kitchen floor as they meander around. The guitars? Thin like Kate Moss on Atkins. About as heavy as the sound of a kindly old grandmother sweeping her cottage. The singer? Frankly, I am so used to 'trolls' by now I just don't even care. It's not scary, it's not threatening, it's not disturbing. It's tedious.

Production value? It was recorded for the sole purpose of being unlistenable. It's goth makeup and girl pants for black metal fucks; tinny, thin and shitty. It's all a pose.

Bottom line, this CD is boring. The songs are too long, the recording is too shitty, the musicianship is too amateurish and the concept hasn't been compelling since Rosemary's Baby. Even the sounds of Jesus getting whipped that open the thing are hack, trite and fucking old. The one trick true black metal pony should die and take the shitty scene with it.
