Alright, this album is a prime example of what is really starting to get on my nerves nowadays pertaining to metal releases and the LENGTH of those releases. This is Fleshgrind's latest "album", Live in Germany. It was "captured" at the "Fuck the Commerce" festival. I can't imagine a semi-established deathgrind band like this getting such a short set or a miniscule time slot as this recording implies. This is only 5 SONGS long. You barely have enough time to fucking eat a taco and fart before the thing is over. So, as I was relatively perplexed by the unusual shortness of this live recording, I went to United Guttural, assuming anyone who would want to buy it would not be charged over $10. Guess what? It's $12. The same price charged for a full-length. This is utterly asinine. If you're going to put out such a short "album", then don't rip the fans off by charging full price. I like Fleshgrind, and the production on here is fantastic for a live recording, but if you're gonna charge full price, throw a coupla extra songs on there. Maybe a few unreleased tracks, a brand new studio recording, or at absolute last resort, put a few demos on there or something (even though noone listens to demos more than one time anyway). But like I said, this seems to be a rather disturbing trend from the fan's point of view, because hey man, we're the ones supporting you guys and we expect to get our money's worth when we buy something. If Rich Lipscomb & Co. would've put at least 3 more songs on here, whether they be live or unreleased material, then hell yes I would suggest it. Fleshgrind has got some heavy as fuck skullcrushers for songs on here, but it's just way too damn short to pay over $8 for. It's too bad....could've been one of my favorite live albums right up there w/ Hypocrisy ...
