Synopsis:

Simplistic mosh played poorly...

Review:

Best described as a hardcorish version of Six Feet Under - actually closer to Six Feet Deep, though - this is a band that plays thick, crushing mosh heavy music... poorly. Frustratingly poorly. Or perhaps they are playing so sublimely that a philistine such as myself simply can't quite grasp the complexities. Either way, the end result is amateurish, sloppy and embarrassing.

The songwriting is very conservative, single minded and generally boring. There are hints of serious riffing and an occasional attempt to throw some changeups at you, but ultimately it all falls flat; victim of the recording and musicianship. Worse, perhaps, is the all-over-the-place production quality. Sometimes crushing, sometimes basement four-track tinny, it serves to accentuate the general lack of professionalism this band displays. Perhaps this is a collection of outtakes or demos, but I received no notice if this is the case. A quick web search proved less than helpful.

The bottom line is that this band is adding nothing in the way of songwriting, performance or recording to an overflowing metal scene. The very few interesting ideas are not capable of distracting from the overall shabbiness. I can't possibly recommend something like this to anyone reading this site.
