Synopsis:

Lamb of Pantera Factory, 4 song EP

Review:

Lets just say you pick this one up. What will you hear? An almost perfectly distilled amalgamation of Pantera, Lamb of God and Fear Factory with some whiny clean vocals thrown in once or twice. In other words: not a goddamned thing different than what you have already heard and owned; a singer who does the Randal/Anselmo roary screamy voice and a drummer who plays speedy accents around mid paced tempos. Guitars and bass are very warm, brittle and caustic, standing mainly on variations of E minor riffing. Holy goddamned, this is preowned.

This is played well, really well. These guys smoke. I think it's probably easy to smoke when you are a glorified cover band, though, don't you? Whatever, if you don't care so much about hearing something different or innovative, these songs are tight, catchy and played with fire. Hey, they are ripping off three of the best, after all. And they CAN rip them off, for what that's worth. Well, except for the completely hokey and pathetic clean whining. Just drop those, gentlemen.

Find your own style. God, what a great band you could be. What fantastic fucking music you could make. Go to your rooms, grab your Lamb of God, Pantera and Fear Factory CDs and smash them, take a year and go to Argentina or someplace and listen only to local music. Then come back and start fresh. As for the readers, I can’t think of any reason you would want to add this to your collection.
