Review of Chris Caffery - Music Man EP

What the hell EP is this? A little companion piece to the already 2+ hour Faces double-disc. There really isn't much to say about this release. Taken straight from Faces, we have "Music Man", "Abandoned", "Pisses Me Off" (album version and radio edit), and "Amazing Grace" (from the accompanying God Damn War EP). Then in a little nod to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra connection with renditions of "What Child is This?" and "Christmas Is". Plus, there is the track "Forever We'll Be", which was previously released as a European b-side.

So really, there isn't much here for you if you already own Faces. Of course, if you are just a huge fan, you'll want this for the three new songs. I don't really like Christmas songs so those are of little interest to me, especially since they pale in comparison to the TSO versions. I'd like to recommend this as a sampler for those unsure if they want Faces, but the material isn't wholly representative of the album, although you will get a decent idea of the diversity, between the acoustic "Music Man", the heavy "Pisses Me Off", and the prog epic "Abandoned". For diehards and completists only.
