Well, my first thought is...my God this is dated. This first track is straight outa’ tha hood, G. Simply repeating “Let’s have a riot” on top of the most overplayed of all possible hip hop beats…I expect to hear MC Lyte come screaming in and start r6cking tha bellz yo. This would have made Fred Durst jealous. Seven years ago.
Song two adds a twist: lyrics. These guys are street down wit da beat down and da Rob Zombie fetish doll clutched in da left, yo, so they can smack yo ass down wit da right, ya know? And hey…there is MC LYTE!!!! Or some woman, I don’t know. She raps and sings along with the MASTER BLASTER YO MUTHERFUCKERZ. It's so bad... I want to stop listening now, OK? I mean “you have the right to remain violent. Anything you say can be used against you with a baseball bat”? Yeah, dude, that sucks. What an oppressive world we live in or whatever. Get the fuck off my lawn.
The third song begins with a shout out to you Pantheon fans out there. I feel pretty left out at this point. But hey, it has a middle eastern riff!!! If these guys ever do get an original thought, I figure that baseball bat mentioned earlier will have to be pulled out. They proclaim the crushing of the weak. Calling for your own death is a pretty neat angle.
The production is amateurish. Everything sounds like it was recorded at different times, by different bands and then assembled using a MAC. The musicianship is pretty average. They get by, but who cares. The songwriting is a fucking joke.
Christ, BUY THIS RECORD, ya’ll. Anything this shitty ought to have a place in your collection. It's like owning a copy of Independence Day - you pull out when you are drinking or blazing so you can have something to laugh at. HAHA, not really. How anyone believed it would be a good idea to combine grooving metal with street drops in the year 2004 is a mystery even Stephen Hawking couldn’t develop a hypothesis on. Don’t give these morons your money.
