I don't know what the hell's going on, but between this, 9MM Solution, and Slavedrum, I have to ask one question:

Why the hell is everyone still playing this shit?

It's all the same shit, folks. Aggressive and groovy nu-metal bullshit with gruff hardcore yells and clean-singing somewhere in the background - each band with a bio sheet proclaiming them to be full of personality and original ideas. So where are they? Are these weird guitar effects playing under this shithead's heart-wrenching singing the personality? Is this one of the crushing riffs I've read so much about?

Perhaps I'm not giving Winnipeg's JAW a fair review, seeing as how I just heard two similar bands immediately beforehand. But really, even if I hadn't, I can't see myself giving this a glowing review of any sort. Here's a Coal Chamber riff, and this guy's still crooning for some reason I have yet to figure out. Wow, a bit of delay on the guitar. That was neat. Then there's a bit of interesting basswork here and there, but really not enough to prevent me from holding this band's collective head under a few feet of solid lard. Not that I hate them or anything, but I just think I might be doing them a favor by killing them in a fat of animal vat.

So! The production! I can hear everything just fine! Too fucking bad for me, good for the band.

I don't know, this band sounds like Mudvayne or some shit. No, wait, this band sounds like those other bands I just reviewed, plus some audible bass playing and irritating falsetto singing. It's self-indulgent, unengaging, and stupid. This band needs to figure something else out, as masturbatory nu-metal isn't really fun for anyone who isn't playing it. Or for anyone with ears.
